About Us
ArKe Sure Start project involves a multi-agency partnership of health, education, voluntary and community groups working closely together in the development of services for families with young children.
Funded by the Department of Education, the project has been operational since 2007. ArKe Sure Start provides services for families living in the Keady, Callanbridge, Downs, Abbey Park, Derrynoose and parts of the Mall and parts of the Observatory ward areas.
If you live in one of these areas and you are pregnant or have a child up to 4 years of age you can become a member of ArKe Sure Start and access a variety of programmes and activities.
The project aims to provide a central point for children’s services/programmes within the area, providing support to families from the ante-natal stage to when your youngest child turns 4. The project engages a multidisciplinary team, including a Midwife, Health Visitor, Dietetic Practitioner, Speech and Language Therapist, Developmental Programme for Two-Three Year Old Team, Parenting Workers and Family Support Workers.
